Macadamia oil is obtained by expressing the oil from the meat of the nut. This oil has 11 grams of MUFAs, which is more than olive oil. Macadamia oil’s omega-6:omega-3 ratio is 1:1 , which is the ideal balance. It’s also a good source of Vitamin E and polyphenols. These polyphenol compounds increase the growth of beneficial bacteria in our gut.
Macadamia oil has a smoke point of 410°F, making it suitable for cooking at relatively high temperatures.
