Sunflower Seed Meal
Sunflower meal is made by grinding raw sunflower seeds.
Sunflower seed meal has 7 g of polyunsaturated fat, of which almost all is from omega-6 fats. When eating ingredients with high omega-6 fats, it’s best to balance with foods high in omega-3 fats.
In a one ounce serving, you’ll get 6 grams of protein and 50% of your daily intake of Vitamin E. It’s also a good source of essential minerals, including copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc.
It has a mild, nutty flavor.
Good for breads, bake goods and an add-in to smoothies and sprinkled on salads.
