Pumpkin seed meal is made from fresh pumpkin seeds.  The seeds are roasted, gently de-oiled and finely ground.

Pumpkin seed meal contains all essential amino acids, making it a complete protein source.  It is a good source of essential minerals, including magnesium, phosphorus, copper, and zinc.

Pumpkin seed meal has 6 grams of polyunsaturated fat, of which almost all is from is omega-6 fats.  When eating ingredients with high omega-6 fats, it best to balance with foods high in omega-3 fats.

Best Uses

Good for pancakes and most baked good.  Works as a thickener for stews, sprinkled over salads, cereal,  and yogurt.  This flour bakes to a light green color.
